WAHIS Goes Offline, New OIE-WAHIS Launch Imminent

Header

WAHIS begins transition to OIE - WAHIS

To enable all transition activity by the OIE, access to the World Animal Health Information System will cease to exist for all users on 19 February 2020. This transition period will last approximately two weeks, and you will receive a notification shortly before OIE-WAHIS goes live.

After the closure date and until go-live, please contact [email protected]  if you need any urgent information from WAHIS. However, as this will be a busy period for the team, we would appreciate it if you could keep any requests to a minimum. Please be aware that in the meantime any relevant immediate notification sent by our Member Countries will be released through the alert system and on the OIE website in a different format.

Once OIE-WAHIS goes live, consulting users will be able to access the new OIE-WAHIS at https://oie-wahis.oie.int/ (available soon) to consult historical and new disease events as well as validated information from six-monthly reports.

If you seek any historical data on Annual Reports and the Voluntary Report for non-OIE-listed diseases of Wildlife Animals, please contact [email protected] as this information will not be available from OIE-WAHIS until OIE-WAHIS Release 2 goes live by the end of 2021.

The new OIE-WAHIS Alert App will only go live a few weeks after the OIE-WAHIS platform goes live. The information on the old Alert app will not be updated after the OIE-WAHIS go-live date. Further details will follow in due course.

Please also take a minute to look at the below video showing the exciting features of the new Public Interface which will be available after going live. If you have any further queries about these transition arrangements or OIE-WAHIS, please contact us at [email protected].

We thank you in advance for your collaboration during this transition period
